WW2 Celebration Afternoon Info

Dear Parents/Carers

Clothing

The children are able to come into school tomorrow (Wednesday) wearing their WW2 clothing. This can be what they wore for evacuation day.

As Miss Ozanne’s class are swimming, they may bring their clothes to get changed into or come in already in costume.

Food

Some children have expressed a wish to have a go at some war time recipes for their museum stalls and our refreshment table.  They are welcome to bring in the dishes that they have made, but are under no obligation to bring in anything at all.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

World War Two Celebration Afternoon – Wednesday 20th June 1.30pm-2.30pm

We would like to invite you to our World War 2 Wartime Museum next Wednesday afternoon to celebrate what we have learned throughout this topic.  We have been busy preparing our stalls, ready to share with you next week.

We will also have a refreshment stand available with nettle tea and acorn coffee to try, if anyone would like to have a go at some wartime baking (the children are very keen) then we would be most grateful for any treats, although hard-tac biscuits may not be an ideal treat!
